The Minions

The minions are being extra good today while I get stuff about the house done. Judging by the heat, summer is here (kinda) and I missed spring cleaning!  Time to get going on it! Luckily Marvel Movies, colors and light up balls are all it takes to make them happy.

Challenge day four!

I have few friends that I talk to on a regular basis. One might call me antisocial, I know that is how I refer to myself. As such, I consider them all to be my best friends. I do not consider one person to be a "best friend" because of how long I have known them or how much we have done for each other etc etc etc. If I can come to you and talk to you and gossip with you, then I love you and will gladly call you a best friend. Simple as that. Which really makes todays post difficult, as the challenge is your favorite picture of your best friend. So I think I will do the picture of the best friend that I have been spending time with nonstop for the past few weeks as our kids got sick together and we figured, well if they are going to be sick, they might as well have fun together since they have already been exposed to everything. -Did I mention my boys have pneumonia? Yeah, that has been fuuuun.- Also, because we recently took a picture together!

So there is one of my friends. I did not ask her permission to use her name so you do not get to know it since there may be creepers reading this (you should know by now how paranoid I am) She is a mother to three boys, two of them the perfect age for The Monster to play with, and the third a sweet little baby still. The Monster is constantly asking about her boys and her asking when they will be over again, asking if he can go see them, building castles and telling me I absolutely can NOT knock them down when I am cleaning because he built them special for his friends, and I would break his heart if I did such a thing. Yeah, my four year old told me I would break his heart haha, I love the things that come out of his mouth. He is becoming more like me because I do not really censor myself around him and he picks things up like any four year old does, which is super fast. For example we were watching Dora and she of course asked where Swiper was. Monster yelled back at the TV "Behind you, genius!" ...or as my friend up there ^ told me, she had him at her house the other day and she told him something that disappointed him and he came back with, "Well that's stupid" I do not know whether to giggle or to be scared!! Anywho, back to my friend! She is pretty much awesome. We go on walks in an attempt to escape the kids for a few minutes, only to come home and are still surprised that the kids fathers idea of "dinner" is to put goldfish and gummy fruits on the counter and tell them that they are there. We have fun, our kids have fun, our husbands have fun, what more could you want in a friend? Their family is so compatible with ours, I may cry when one of us gets stationed elsewhere. In fact, I know I will! She is one of three women in this state that I love and I have no idea what I will do without any of them!

Monster and Munchkin <3
Now onto regular life, as I mentioned, the boys are sick. No me gusta! However after antibiotics, and albuteral breathing treatments every four hours for a couple weeks, they are better. Well The Munchkin is better, he still has not regained his appetite, but he is back to sleeping in his own bed and sleeping through the night without waking up crying from coughing up all the icky in his chest! The Monster caught it at the tail end of The Munchkins cycle and so is just now getting the worse of it. He is now in our bed at night and waking up not being able to breathe. We were able to move Munchkin's breathing treatments to twice a day, while Monsters are still every 4 hours. None of this has stopped them from realizing that it is finally sunny outside and wanting to be outside while there is daylight, so that is good news :) Hopefully just another week of this and Monster will be feeling better!

A bundle of challenges!

Hello all! I am going to be starting another blogging challenge. Since I am picky, however, I am going to be picking and choosing days from five different blog challenges because some things I do not want to talk about and some days I feel like talking about something else! Anywho, day 1 happens to be a recent picture of me -and yes I am totally picking that one because I have a new favorite picture of myself- and three goals for the summer.

So there I am with my new blue hair! I am very excited when it comes to new hair colors :) My three goals of the summer are to eat better, have more fun with the kids, and do more things for myself as in getting out of the house without the kids (WITHOUT feeling guilty) for a couple hours a week!

I am also gonna do days two and three because I probably will not be on anytime in the next couple days! So day two is put your iPod on shuffle and write down the first twenty songs that come up.
  1. Love Me Dead - Ludo
  2. Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leopard
  3. All That I've Got - The Used
  4. Hit That - The Offspring
  5. Next Contestant - Nickelback
  6. The Clincher - Chevelle
  7. Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
  8. Fishing in the Dark - Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
  9. Starlight - Muse
  10. Go-Getter Greg - Ludo
  11. All The Small Things - Blink 182
  12. She's In Love With The Boy - Trisha Yearwood
  13. Life After You - Daughtry
  14. I Want It That Way - Backstreet Boys
  15. Tell Me 'Bout The Good Old Days - The Judds
  16. You're Gonna Go Far Kid - The Offspring
  17. Homecoming Queen - Hinder
  18. Springsteen- Eric Church
  19. You're Gonna Be - Reba McEntire
  20. Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo - The Bloodhound Gang
Day three will be the meaning behind my blog name. It is pretty simple actually, I like laughing. Sometimes I laugh at things that people think should not be laughed at, or I laugh at awkward moments. I think that life is better when it is spent smiling and laughing! People think I type "lol" too often and that I really do not mean it, but more often than not, I truly am laughing out loud. Someone told me once that I should not laugh at nonsense, I would encourage other people to act out as well (high school days here) and I never really gave a second thought to it until I started thinking about a blog name. Then the memory came back and I was like hey! I like that!

Anyone else come up with their own challenges?

I am back!

So I am finally back after our mini vacation in Cali :) It was a blast, I am going to put up some pictures from vacation and then do a link up with Becca over at iateskinny and skip the catching up. So without any more, here are pictures to Cali, the boys reuniting with daddy and having fun in the sun!

Now that you've seen a glimpse into our vacation (yes, that was only a glimpse because I take more pictures than a pill popper pops pills.) -say that five times fast- here is the link up that I am stealing from Becca.

  1. Unlike my siblings (that I love very much)... I talk to both of my parents.
  2. My best friend says... is amazing! She has Ariel hair, can cook anything in the world and is the perfect amount of crazy and real that it takes for me to call her my best friend. Who else can you sit around talking about bowel movements and death plots with?
  3. People call me... Melissa, mommy or Lissy. If they have a death wish they call me Mel.
  4. I most often dream... about scary stuff. Last night my nightmares were filled with stampeding people and a giant hole in the ground that me and my boys fell into.
  5. The best part of my day... is when the kids are in bed, the house is clean and I can relax.
  6. I really don't understand... people. They weird me out.
  7. I get really annoyed... when people use words they do not know the definition of.
  8. There's nothing like a... day on the couch ignoring everyone, or so I have been told. I am planning to implement this on Mothers Day, I will let you know if it works ;)
  9. Lately, I can't get enough... of this creation that Andy makes, chicken ramen, eggs and soy sauce. It is freaking amazing.
  10. One thing I am NOT is... patient. I am working on it though.
  11. I spent too much money on... hair dye. Seriously, way too much money.
  12. I want to learn... Sign language, it would be awesome to communicate with more people.
  13. If I ever met Tom Selleck, I would... Have met Tom Selleck?
  14. I can't stop... holding The Munchkin. He gets angry anytime I put him down for more than two minutes at a time
  15. "I look incredible..." all the damn time :P Yeah, I am that conceited.
  16. Never have I ever... played this game. Although technically I am playing it now right?
  17. Reese Witherspoon... is one of my favorite actresses!
